What is a tribe? According to Merriam- Webster: “a social division in a traditional society consisting of families or communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect, typically having a recognized leader.”
Ladies, I have an awesome tribe and these awesome women I happen to not have blood ties to, but that does not matter one bit. 😊
Over the past week, I have come to realize that all the ladies that I interact with daily are awesome women, that are doing remarkable things and are on the path of greatness. Some I have known for some time and I do not get to physically see often but we always find a way to chat about what is going on in our lives. Others I have just met in the last few years at the office or thru family or friends, but they have left an impression.
One of these ladies decided to start a non-profit and is taking the world by storm, another is taking no prisoners and is living life by her own rules no matter what her family thinks. Another is a co-worker that decided that she was going to quit her job as a software tester that she loved and took on a job that allows her to travel all over the world setting up computers, and she loves it! I have women in my tribe that are farmers, global givers, Ph.D. and DBA candidates, linguist, teachers, and they all are gorgeous inside and out.
I consider these ladies part of my tribe because each one of them has encouraged me someway be it just sharing a podcast that they thought I would enjoying listening to or just showing how wonderful life really is if you allow yourself to live it. No one said that your tribe had to be exclusive to what the definition states.
Ladies, who is in your tribe?
