Okay, Ladies Let’s Talk……
So in my quest to conquer all things fashion, I stumbled upon one of the greatest treasures in the world……MY GUT…which also can be referred to as THE FUPA, THE LOVE MUFFIN or even THE CHOCOLATE THUNDER. I myself like many other women do not fit the mold or what we see in the plus size fashion market today. We see models with flat stomachs, perfectly plump booties, and curvy hips; but we all know that this image is not standard and not what many women can relate to. Having a lower stomach is an area of my body that I once was very insecure about. I didn’t like the way she looked in shorts or high waist jeans, so I found ways to cover her up. I found myself looking in magazines, and on social media sites and envying women who don’t have lower stomachs. I even started a diet that was designed to specifically target belly fat, and I ATTEMPTED…..let me say that again ATTEMPTED to do 100 crunches a night. After many failed diet attempts and blood, sweat and tears left on the floor from doing those crunches, I decided to embrace the body that the great Man above gave me. Now don’t get me wrong I still struggle with some outfits and I still haven’t worn a pair of high waist jeans, but I embraced her more and more with each day. As a woman with a gut that is not a size 16, 18, 20, or 22, I feel that it is important to show other women that we all have struggles with different areas or our bodies. Whether it is long toes, sagging boobs, or a lower stomach we all should learn to love and embrace those areas of our bodies and stand tall in our flaws because we all have them and realize that we all are created BEAUTIFUL. So throw on those shorts, jumpsuits, and bikinis and EMBRACE THE GUTS!!!!!!
